From her studio on Vancouvert Island, Gloria creates innovative Fibre Art for both private and public patrons. She also teaches and demonstrates at textile forums and art gallery workshops.

Her works combine traditional methods with contemporary design and materials. Gloria is well known for her ability to capture the essence and spiritual message of her subjects.

An active member of the fibre arts community in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, in 2003, Gloria was chosen as an example of excellence in Rye Brook, New York. Her works are often two and three dimensional wall hangings or panels created of fibre and mixed media.

Gloria has taught at Malaspina University/College, Gibson’s Landing Fibre Festival, North Island College Fibre Arts Symposium, and for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in their contemporary Art Program “New Extreme”.

She has received awards from the British Columbia Arts Council, the Embroiderer’s Guild of Victoria and the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts.

Gloria’s art has been shown in exhibits across Canada and the United States and her works, including commissions, are held in private collections in Canada and Japan.
